Low-dose per actuation (75 mcg) allows you to titrate the dose of AZMACORT for each patient
- Beneficial for newly diagnosed patients with mild persistent asthma
- May reduce the need for new prescriptions while titrating
- The adult dosage of AZMACORT is 4 inhalations (300 mcg) BID or 2 inhalations (150 mcg) 3 to 4 times a day. Maximum daily intake should not exceed 16 inhalations (1200 mcg)
- For children aged 6 to 12 years, the usual recommended dosage is 1 or 2 inhalations (75 or 150 mcg) given 3 to 4 times a day or 2 to 4 inhalations (150-300 mcg) BID. The maximum daily intake should not exceed 12 inhalations (900 mcg)
- Children aged 6 years and older can begin at conversion from nebulizer therapy

AZMACORT Inhalation Aerosol is indicated in the maintenance treatment of asthma as prophylactic therapy. AZMACORT is also indicated for asthma patients who require systemic corticosteroid administration, where adding AZMACORT may reduce or eliminate the need for the systemic corticosteroids.
AZMACORT is NOT indicated for the relief of acute bronchospasm.
